What Is Content Pruning?

Content pruning is the process of reviewing existing website content and deciding whether pages should be improved, consolidated, redirected, or removed.

The goal isn't simply to delete pages. It's to create a cleaner, more useful website where valuable content is easier to discover and maintain.

Why Remove Underperforming Content?

Old or low-value pages can create unnecessary maintenance and may overlap with other content targeting similar topics. They can also provide a poor experience when users land on information that is outdated or no longer relevant.
