Choosing a suitable seat can make your flight more comfortable and convenient. Whether you prefer a window seat, aisle seat, or a location with extra space, understanding the seat selection process can help you plan your journey. Turkish Airlines Seat Selection allows passengers to review available seats and select an option according to their preferences, subject to availability and the conditions of their ticket.

What Is Turkish Airlines Seat Selection?

Turkish Airlines Seat Selection is a service that allows passengers to choose a preferred seat on their flight. Depending on the route, aircraft, fare type, and booking conditions, travelers may have different seating options available.

Passengers can generally review the seat map during the booking process or manage an existing reservation. Available seats can change as other passengers make their selections, so checking early may provide more choices.

How Does Turkish Airlines Seat Selection Work?

The process generally involves accessing your reservation, viewing the aircraft seat map, selecting an available seat, and confirming your choice. Here is a simple overview of how it works.

1. Make Your Flight Reservation

Start by booking your Turkish Airlines flight. During the booking process, you may be presented with available seat options depending on your itinerary and fare conditions.

If you already have a confirmed booking, you can access your reservation through the airline's booking management options.

2. Access Your Booking

Use your reservation details to find your trip. Once the booking is displayed, look for the relevant seat selection or seat management option.

The exact options shown can depend on your flight and ticket conditions.

3. Check the Seat Map

After opening the seat selection section, you can review the available seats on the aircraft. The seat map helps passengers understand the location of different seats within the cabin.

You may find window and aisle seats as well as other seating categories. Some aircraft may also have seats with additional legroom or other specific characteristics.

4. Select Your Preferred Seat

Choose the seat that suits your travel preferences. A window seat can be useful for passengers who enjoy looking outside, while an aisle seat may be convenient for travelers who want easier access to the aisle.

Passengers traveling together may also want to check availability early if they prefer to sit next to each other.

5. Review the Seat Conditions

Not every seat necessarily has the same conditions. Depending on the route, fare, and seat category, an additional fee may apply.

Before confirming your choice, review the information displayed for the selected seat, including any applicable charge or restriction.

6. Confirm Your Seat

Once you have reviewed the available information, confirm your selection according to the instructions provided with your booking. Keep your reservation details available so you can check the selected seat before your journey.

Does Turkish Airlines Charge for Seat Selection?

Seat selection conditions can vary depending on several factors, including the fare type, flight route, cabin, and specific seat category. Some seating options may be included with the ticket, while certain preferred or special seats may involve an additional charge.

Because conditions can differ between bookings, passengers should check the details shown during the reservation or seat-selection process.

Can You Change Your Selected Seat?

In many situations, passengers may be able to change their selected seat before departure, provided another eligible seat is available. The conditions for changing a seat can depend on the booking and the new seat selected.

If the replacement seat has a different fee or seating condition, the applicable terms should be reviewed before confirming the change.

Tips for Choosing a Seat

When using Turkish Airlines Seat Selection, consider the duration of your flight and your personal requirements. For long journeys, passengers may prefer a seat that provides convenient access to the aisle or additional space when available.

If you are traveling with family or friends, selecting seats earlier may provide more opportunities to sit together. Travelers who prefer a particular window or aisle seat should also check availability as soon as possible.

Final Thoughts

Understanding Turkish Airlines Seat Selection can make the pre-flight planning process easier. Passengers can review their booking, check the available seat map, compare suitable options, and confirm their preferred seat according to the applicable conditions. Since seat availability and fees can vary by flight and fare, always review the information associated with your specific reservation before completing your selection.
